This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones Anouk Solutions (Pty) Ltd uses when you visit anouksolutions.com, why we use them, and how you can manage or withdraw your consent at any time.

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal information more broadly.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website, used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and provide information about how a site is used. Cookies set by the website you're visiting are “first-party”; cookies set by other parties (such as an analytics or advertising provider) are “third-party” cookies.

We also use one form of browser storage that is not a cookie at all — your cookie preference itself is stored in your browser's local storage, not a cookie. We call this out explicitly below because it affects how you view and manage it.

3. The Cookies We Use

3.1 Strictly Necessary

Essential for the Website to function, and set regardless of your cookie choice. These cookies don't store any personally identifiable information.

3.2 Analytics (Google Analytics)

Only set after you accept cookies via our banner. All data is aggregated; we don't use it to identify you personally.

3.3 Marketing and Advertising (Meta Pixel)

Only set after you accept cookies via our banner. The Meta Pixel is provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. and may collect the pages you visit, actions you take (such as submitting a form), your IP address, and browser/device information, to measure and improve the relevance of our advertising. You can opt out of Meta's use of this data for advertising at any time at facebook.com/ads/preferences.

Advanced matching: on pages where the Meta Pixel is active, it also reads the name and email address you enter into our contact and demo request forms. These values are converted into a one-way cryptographic hash in your browser before anything is sent — we don't transmit your name or email address to Meta in readable form. Meta uses this hash to match your visit to a Meta account for advertising attribution and audience building. This applies only where you've consented to marketing cookies.

Cookies such as fr and datr that you may see referenced in other Meta documentation are set by Meta on facebook.com itself when you're logged into Facebook — not by our Website.

4. Legal Basis for Using Cookies

We operate under South African law and comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Where applicable to a visitor, we also aim to meet GDPR/UK GDPR standards.

• Strictly necessary: legitimate interest — required for the Website to function, no consent needed.
• Analytics: consent — only placed after you accept via our cookie banner.
• Marketing / Meta Pixel: consent — only placed after you accept via our cookie banner. Your consent must be freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous.

5.1 Our Cookie Banner

When you first visit anouksolutions.com, you'll see a cookie banner with two choices: Accept all (strictly necessary, analytics, and marketing) or Accept necessary (strictly necessary only). 6. International Data Transfers

These transfers rely on your consent when you accept analytics/marketing cookies, together with contractual protections with our providers. Your cookie preference itself, however, is stored in your browser's local storage rather than a cookie, which means it has no fixed expiry — it persists until you change it via Cookie Settings or clear your browser's site data for anouksolutions.com.
